Lauren Tanny, Founder
Lauren is the CEO of The Tannywood Group, Inc., which provides executive coaching, fractional executive services, strategy consulting, and facilitation. Recently, she has held executive roles including interim Chief of Staff for a retirement services firm and interim VP of Operations for a financial services firm. Prior to that, she spent four years as the Chief Operating Officer of REV, an early-stage sustainability education, behavior change, and employee engagement company. Lauren scaled the operation from start-up to over 40 trained sustainability coaches who delivered services to over 400 organizations. She established and continually improved procedures for service delivery, metrics, recruiting, training, and cross-departmental integration.
Lauren has coached over 150 CEOs, senior executives, and rising stars to help them maximize their talents and become better leaders from the inside out. Her clients say that she both challenges them and nurtures their growth. One of her specialties is getting to the core of what motivates someone, and thus allowing their leadership to flow from the most authentic foundation.
Lauren has also run a venture-backed start-up and a business unit of a publicly traded software company, both with full P & L responsibility. For seven years, she was a group Chair for Vistage International where she conducted over 1000 coaching sessions with C-level executives and led over 150 sessions of executive peer groups. Her additional experience includes senior management roles in several industries: health education publishing, consumer wine marketing, and finance and acquisitions. Lauren’s functional experience includes general management, operations, sales, marketing and finance. Her industry experience includes technology, consumer products, publishing, financial services, professional services and education/professional development.
